hireCNC in East Granby, CT is seeking a mid–senior CNC grinder for aerospace applications. You will set up and operate CNC grinding machines, perform high-precision grinding, and ensure components meet tight tolerances and exact specifications.

The role requires reading blueprints, interpreting GD&T, and using precision measuring tools. You will collaborate with engineering and production teams to maintain throughput and quality on key aerospace programs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of CNC grinding or machining experience.
• Experience setting up and operating CNC grinding equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and math skills.
• Experience holding tight tolerances.
• Ability to use precision measuring tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team environment.

Responsabilités

• Set up and operate CNC grinding machines in a precision aerospace environment

• Make program edits, offset adjustments, and tooling changes as needed
• Read and interpret blueprints, operation sheets, and work instructions
• Verify dimensions using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, depth gages, height gages, and verniers
• Perform in-process inspection to ensure part quality and compliance
• Work with exotic materials including Inconel, Rene, and other aerospace alloys
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve machining and quality issues

• Controls: Fanuc and other CNC control systems depending on equipment
• Inspection Tools: Micrometers, depth gages, height gages, verniers, and other precision measuring tools
