Job summary

Fives Landis Corp is seeking a CNC Grinding Machinist to join the Concord Twp/Painesville team. The role will involve setting up and running CNC grinders, loading parts, and ensuring parts meet exact tolerances. Experience with Walter, Agathon, Waida, Vollmer or EWAG grinders is highly valued.

First/second/split shifts are available, with overtime as needed. Competitive pay and benefits support ongoing growth within an international group.

Qualifications

• Previous CNC machining or grinding experience is required.
• Experience operating high-precision grinding equipment such as Walter, Agathon, Waida, Vollmer or EWAG is valued.
• G-code programming or edits are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC grinding equipment.
• Load and secure workpieces and select tooling.
• Monitor the grinding process and adjust machine/program as needed.
• Inspect finished parts to ensure tolerances meet specifications.
• Use precision measuring equipment to verify part accuracy.
• Make G-code edits as required.
• Maintain tooling inventory and production records.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and replace worn tooling.

Shift Options

• First Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
• Second Shift: 3:30 p.m.–12:00 a.m.
• Split Shift: 12:00 p.m.–8:00 p.m. Occasional overtime may be required based on business needs.

• Programming experience with G-code a plus.
