MAAG Reduction, Inc. in Kent, Ohio is hiring a CNC Grinder Machinist to produce high‑precision tooling used across MAAG’s product lines.

You’ll read blueprints, set up surface and OD grinders, and manufacture tooling to tight tolerances, while applying careful inspection throughout the process. This full‑time position offers a three‑day weekend schedule (Friday–Sunday), three 12‑hour shifts, and pay for 40 hours while you work 36, along with Monday‑Thursday training on first shift.

Qualifications

  • Manufacture precision tooling for MAAG products.
  • Select cutting tools, grinding wheels, and materials.
  • Establish and adjust speeds, feeds, depth of cut, and other machining parameters.
  • Identify efficient machining methods for individual parts and machines.
  • Perform dimensional and visual inspections throughout the process.
  • Verify completed components meet quality and customer requirements.
  • Record production information and quality data in the company database.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Follow all environmental, health, and safety procedures.

This position involves operating a variety of precision machine shop equipment, with a particular focus on:

  • Surface grinding

  • Speeds, feeds, and machining parameter adjustments

You’ll use precision measuring instruments to inspect your work and ensure components meet the required dimensions, tolerances, and finish requirements.
