Job summary

Moeller Precision Tool - South in Antioch, Tennessee is seeking qualified CNC machinists for a night shift, with a 60,000 sq ft facility and a range of milling and grinding equipment. You will perform set-up, calibration, and inspection, reading blueprints and translating requirements into precise measurements.

Training on Day Shift with transition to nights, 45–50 hours per week, overtime, and competitive wages. Comprehensive benefits including health, vision, dental, and PTO are available.

Job description

We are seeking qualified candidates who are motivated and willing to challenge themselves. We host a 60,000 sq ft facility with 3 and 4-Axis CNC Mills, EDM Wires, manual grinders, CNC precision grinders, CNC Lathes, and more. Previous experience is necessary. You will also have the opportunity to learn other machines. No matter your skill level, we commit to precision and quality, and we need you to as well.

This is a night shift position.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

• Performing proper set-up and calibration procedures for all equipment and accessories.
• Setting tolerance levels and speeds.
• Translates the requirements of detailed part drawings into measurements for production.
• Perform inspection on manufactured parts.

Requirements

• Perform surface grinding setups (manual grinding, fixturing, blocks).
• Execute precision machining of tool steel components.
• Read blueprints and machine to tight tolerances.
• Inspect parts to meet quality standards.
• Work across machining and surface grinding operations.

Schedule

• Training on Day Shift, transition to nights.
• Nights: 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM (M-F).
• A normal shift consists of 8-10 hours per day.
• Overtime will be required.
• Approximation of hours: 45-50 hours per week on average.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

The manufacturing shop is highly maintained for cleanliness, including disinfecting and floor scrubbing daily. The entire building is air conditioned and ventilated to maintain cool and clean air quality.

The role may require standing, walking, sitting, and using hands to handle objects. Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling may be necessary. The ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds is essential. Specific vision abilities, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment, are required to perform the job effectively.
