Job summary

Eaton is seeking a Manufacturing Technician for the Night Shift in Kings Mountain, NC. You will set up and operate CNC equipment and gauing tools to process machined components from rough material for pre-heat treat, and from heat-treated material for post-heat treat.

Your role includes selecting tooling, inspecting parts with SPC charts, and maintaining documentation while following TS 16949 and ISO 14000 systems.

Qualifications

HS Diploma or GED required.
1 year CNC setup/operation in a manufacturing environment.
Preferred: 2+ years CNC setup/operation in manufacturing.
Experience reading, interpreting, and following process sheets.
Experience machining gears or spline components (e.g., hobbing, shaping, shaving, hard turning).
Familiarity with SPC methods and precision inspection tools to maintain quality standards.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC equipment per process sheets and drawings.
Use inspection tools (SPC, gauges, micrometers, indicators) to ensure part quality.
Select, install, and inspect tooling; adjust to maintain specs.
Produce parts that meet gear, spline form, lead, and size requirements.
Inspect product samples and maintain SPC charts and related docs.
Perform minor and preventative maintenance on machines; handle materials safely.
