Job summary

Ethan Allen is seeking a skilled assembler to prepare and assemble a variety of frame models and sub-assemblies for upholstered or wood frames. The role focuses on meeting quantity and quality standards and involves hands-on use of pneumatic tools and precise assembly per specification sheets.

Ideal candidates will consistently apply proper glue, fasteners, and alignment, maintain efficient workflow, and adapt to additional duties as needed in a manufacturing environment in North Carolina.

Qualifications

• Experience assembling frames per specification sheets.
• Ability to operate pneumatic tools safely and efficiently.
• Attention to quality standards and quantity targets.

Responsibilities

• Sort cut frame parts and place on the assembly table or clamp.
• Follow the specification sheet to assemble parts.
• Hammer in tees and secure with staples.
• Glue wood parts with brush or applicator.
• Use a rubber mallet to fit components.
• Attach parts with pneumatic tools as required.
• Screw legs to frame using pneumatic screwdriver.
• Move completed frames to correct pallet.
• Perform other duties as instructed.

Position Summary:

Performs operation to prepare and assemble a variety of models of frames and/or frame sub-assemblies to quantity and quality standards for upholstered or wood frame furniture.

Major Accountabilities/Critical Responsibilities:

Accountabilities/responsibilities in order of importance or amount of time spent on the responsibilities.

• Sort cut frame parts and place on assembly table and/or assembly clamp.
• Use specification sheet as guide to assemble cut parts.
• Hammer in tee nit and shoot with staple to secure.
• Glue connecting wood parts with a brush or squirt bottle.
• Use a rubber mallet to hammer parts together.
• Use a pneumatic staple gun or pneumatic screwdriver (depending on frame) to attach wood parts together.
• Screw legs to frame using pneumatic screwdriver.
• Slide completed frame from table to place on correct pallet.
• May perform other duties/ special or non-routine assignments as instructed.
