Job summary

Walker Forge, Inc. in Wisconsin seeks a CNC Machinist to set up tooling, operate CNC machines, and perform visual inspection of forgings prior to machining.

Responsibilities

• Machine forgings to print with associated tolerances
• Limited understanding of robot interface
• Perform visual inspection of forging prior to machining
• Inspect product for quality using various measuring tools
• Set-up tooling in machine
• Routine maintenance of CNC machines; check oil levels, coolant levels and concentration, change filters and monitor overall machine performance
• Empty chip bins when necessary
• Keep machine and work area neat, clean and organized
• Maintain required quantity and quality levels
• Follow all safety regulations
• Operate Company computer system
