Job summary

Chicago Mold Engineering seeks an experienced CNC/Mold Machinist to lead setup, CAM programming, and operation of 3- and 5-axis milling centers. You will oversee sequencing, multi-tasking, and on-time project completions in a high-precision mold making environment.

The role requires at least 10 years of CNC milling and CAM experience, with expertise in Fanuc and Heidenhain controls and ISO quality systems. On-site, full-time role with top pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years work experience setup, programming and running CNC milling machines.
• Minimum 10 years work experience in cutter feeds and speeds for milling, drilling and general machining.
• CAM programming experience.
• ISO certified quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage and, when necessary, setup, program CAM and run 3 and 5-axis machining centers using Fanac and Heidenhain controls along with many others.
• Plan sequence of operations during projects to allow for multi-tasking and ensure on time completions
• Assist CNC operators
• Continue to apply oneself to growing a knowledge base and an understanding of mold building and machining
