Fine Foods & Pharmaceuticals N.T.M. S.p.A. is seeking an experienced field service engineer to install, commission, and optimize CNC machinery at customer sites across North America. The role emphasizes troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and customer training to maximize equipment performance.

The ideal candidate has a mechanical/electrical/mechatronics degree, 4+ years of electromechanical work in manufacturing, and travel readiness. Spanish is a plus; a valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience servicing, maintaining, or troubleshooting electromechanical equipment in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience with integrated mechatronic systems and CNC machinery repair.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings.
• Exposure to PLC programming or basic programming concepts (C++ like) is an asset but not required.
• Valid driver's license and driving record that meets company requirements.
• Spanish language proficiency is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and optimize CNC machinery at customer facilities to ensure peak performance and satisfaction.
• Perform preventive maintenance, equipment inspections, and repairs to maximize machine reliability.
• Travel approximately 70% across North America, with occasional international travel, and provide remote support when not traveling.
• Diagnose and resolve electromechanical issues using advanced troubleshooting techniques.
• Prepare detailed technical reports to support headquarters with root cause analysis and improvements.
• Follow SOPs while applying critical thinking for non-standard situations.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Applications, and Customer Support teams to resolve challenges.
• Build strong customer relationships with responsive, professional service.
• Deliver hands-on operator and maintenance training to maximize equipment performance.
