Job summary

ADP, Inc. is seeking a CNC & Facility Maintenance Technician in Westfield, MA to ensure proper operation and repair of manufacturing facility equipment.

The role requires 5+ years of maintenance experience and knowledge of Niigata, Matsuura, Nakamuura, Mazak, Haas, and Yasda CNC machines. You will troubleshoot, coordinate with operators, and perform preventive maintenance to meet production goals in a high-demand environment.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • 5+ years of Prior Maintenance Experience.
  • Knowledge of CNC machines Niigata, Matsuura, Nakamuura, Mazak, Haas, Yasda.
  • Ability to Troubleshoot Machines and repair accordingly.
  • Ability to Coordinate with operator on maintenance activities to ensure the meet productions schedules or goals.
  • Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Working knowledge of equipment and tools.
  • Ability to identify future maintenance problems.
  • Understanding of hazardous materials, PPE and proper usage.
  • Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbally.
  • Ability to follow directions and identify what needs to be done.
  • Strong attention to details
  • Time Management Skills
  • Ability to drive a forklift
  • Ability to multi-task, and pivot from one task to another.

Responsibilities

  • Follow Safety culture and wear PPE when required.
  • Confirms and maintains proper operation of manufacturing facility each day, including performing general contracting duties.
  • Applies knowledge to complete necessary repairs to all phases of manufacturing equipment.
  • Diagnoses malfunctions promptly and reports to supervisor.
  • Maintains tools and repairs equipment in optimum working condition.
  • Does in-depth diagnostic trouble shooting both mechanic and control.
  • Support PM Program, critical equipment repair/ uptime.
  • Maintain general shop cleanliness and grounds upkeep to ensure a clean environment.
  • Responsible for various cleaning duties including sweeping, wiping, painting the facility and equipment as required.
  • Uses proper tools and equipment safely to complete each repair.
  • Safely handle and interact with hazardous material and chemicals.
  • Check machine fluid levels daily and maintain at a proper working level.
  • Must be available via company cell phone for communication purposes.
  • Receives products/materials from vendors and shipping agencies utilizing forklifts, pallet jacks, and overhead cranes.

CNC & Facility Maintenance Technician

Full Time Indirect Westfield, MA, US

Salary Range: $30.00 To $37.00 Hourly

Job Position Summary: You are responsible for proper operation and repair of manufacturing facility and equipment. This includes maintaining fluid levels in machines, minor contracting duties, and general shop cleanliness. Supports critical equipment repair / uptime.

You must have:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 5+ years of Prior Maintenance Experience
  • Knowledge of CNC machines specifically Niigata, Matsuura, Nakamuura, Mazak, Haas, Yasda

Working Conditions:

  • Normal Production environments, subject to high noise levels from operating machines; physical hazards from moving equipment and sharp machine parts; breathing fumes, dust, and mist; skin exposure to oil and cutting fluid; exposure to sharp metal edges, and forklifts.
  • May be asked to travel back and forth between Southwick and Westfield facilities.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must have ability to read applicable machine manuals and machine prints with or without corrective lenses.
  • May have to lift up to forty (40) pounds at a time, as required.
  • Must be able to push, pull, reach overhead, stand, walk, climb stairs, bend and/or sit for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to climb into and out of machines
