Job summary

Crux Manufacturing is a growing precision CNC machining and manufacturing company seeking an Estimator / Project Coordinator to improve quoting accuracy, customer satisfaction, and project execution. You will drive RFQ interpretation, cost analysis, and coordination across sales, engineering, and production teams.

The role requires reading blueprints, understanding CNC processes, and communicating effectively with customers.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in estimating, project coordination, manufacturing, or CNC machining.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong understanding of CNC machining processes and manufacturing methods.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Review RFQs, engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
• Prepare accurate quotes for CNC machining, materials, tooling, outside services, and labor.
• Analyze manufacturing processes and determine production costs.
• Work with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing and lead times.
• Maintain estimating databases and quote history.
• Follow up on submitted quotations and customer inquiries.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate communication between sales, engineering, purchasing, quality, and production teams.
• Monitor project schedules and ensure customer requirements are met.
• Process customer orders and manage changes, revisions, and schedule adjustments.
• Provide proactive status updates and resolve issues impacting delivery or quality.
• Assist with production planning and capacity management.
