Job Description Summary
Digital Machining Solutions team standardizes, delivers and maintains lean digital manufacturing tools and services for the GE Aerospace sites utilizing state-of-the-art technologies to increase capacity and quality, to avoid cost and to achieve on-time delivery. GE Aerospace shops are utilizing in-house developed CNC digital kits to perform the processes in physical world. Current GE Aerospace CNC portfolio is a mix of various machine and controller types. The “CNC Equipment Engineer” plays a key role in optimizing and standardizing CNC machinery across GE Aerospace to improve manufacturing efficiency, quality and cost-effectiveness.
Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Creating and maintaining standardized specifications for CNC machines and controllers
  • Leading the technical evaluation and selection process for new CNC machines and related systems
  • Collaborating with manufacturing and maintenance teams
  • Maintaining the in-house developed machine catalog
  • Standardizing and leading the machine runoff process
  • Interfacing with CNC machine vendors to ensure compliance with GE Aerospace standards
  • Work in a highly dynamic, collaborative, and global team environment
  • Coordinate several concurrent projects

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university

  • 5 years CNC equipment selection and implementation experience

Desired Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years in CNC equipment selection and implementation in various brands and control platforms
  • CNC programming knowledge
  • Multi-axis machine tool geometry knowledge
  • Cross-functional collaboration
  • Machine capability analysis
  • Knowledge of Industry standards
  • Supporting CNC equipment strategies across multi sites

The base pay range for this position is 111,700-186,200 Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on July 1, 2025.
