Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires experience with the specific production process.

Responsibilities

• Uses hand tools and common shop machinery.
• Involved in the installation and/or calibration of mechanical equipment and machinery, which may involve CNC equipment, hydraulics, electro-mechanical gears and other machinery.
• Involved in the diagnoses of mechanical faults on production equipment and machinery.
• Registers all maintenance related activities into systems.
• May also be involved in the maintenance of buildings, production sites or other facilities.
• May also be called Maintenance Operator, Employee Maintenance, Maintenance worker, Electrician, Mechanic, Electromechanic, Fitter, Tool Sharpener, …
• Typically reports to a Maintenance Supervisor or Maintenance Manager.
