Job summary

Bell Textron Inc. in Grand Prairie, TX is seeking an experienced electrical maintenance technician to diagnose and repair complex electrical/electronic systems used in manufacturing and aerospace environments.

You will perform functional checks on new and modified equipment and collaborate with engineering, IT, and vendors to resolve issues. The role requires strong diagnostics, use of test equipment, and experience with CNC controls, PLCs, and industrial networks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years of education in industrial maintenance or similar fields with 3 years experience in maintenance and repair of electrical/electronic systems in manufacturing.
• Experience troubleshooting CNC machine tool controls and industrial automation systems.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose electrical/electronic malfunctions using schematics, ladder logic, wiring diagrams, OEM documentation, and diagnostic software.
• Restore equipment functionality by repair, adjustment, or component replacement.
• Perform functional and operational checkout of existing, modified, and newly installed systems prior to production release.
• Troubleshoot and repair CNC machine tool controls, drives, PLCs, HMIs, encoders, and industrial networks.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, IT, OEM reps, and vendors to resolve complex issues and implement upgrades.
• Use electronic test equipment and diagnostic tools to analyze system behavior and identify root causes.
• Execute electrical repair and modification work per engineering requirements.
• Support VFDs, PID loops, motion control, safety circuits, and industrial protocols.
• Assist with calibration and tuning to ensure reliable operation.
• Perform electrical work for facility projects including lighting and power distribution; may include high‑voltage systems.
• Document work in CMMS and adhere to safety/environmental requirements.
