Job summary

Certified PowerTrain in Wisconsin is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance, repair, and continuous improvement on plant equipment, including CNC lathes and mills, HVAC, hydraulics, and electrical systems. The role requires strong troubleshooting and hands-on capability with safety focus.

You will own preventative maintenance programs, read schematics, work with the maintenance supervisor, and contribute to process improvements while adhering to LOTO and safety

Qualifications

• 3 years of maintenance troubleshooting and repair experience required.
• 1 year post high school education/training in electronics.
• 1 credit welding post high school a plus.
• Post high school formal training in fabrication a plus.
• Knowledge of Fanuc controls and Haas is desired.
• Extensive electrical troubleshooting experience.
• Certified electrician a plus.
• Prior work in paper machines, CNCs, printing presses or similar manufacturing equipment is a plus.
• Windows computer literacy.
• Basic welding knowledge; forklift certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ownership of the preventative maintenance program.
• Troubleshoot and repair CNC lathes, mills, hobbing equipment, saws, etc.
• Work with Maintenance Supervisor to expedite projects and material needs.
• Update and track machine repairs in systems database.
• Maintain urgency, motivation and safe work practices.
• Adhere to LOTO procedures.
• Recommend improvements to current maintenance processes and activities.
• Fabricate and implement tooling and fixturing.
• Monitor perishable tooling levels and advise on procurement.
