Job summary

Nidec in Mankato, MN is seeking a CNC Programmer to develop and implement cost-effective manufacturing processes per product specs and quality standards. You will design tooling, generate CNC programs, and train operators, operating under general supervision.

The role requires CAD/CAM proficiency, 3–5 years of experience, and strong collaboration with engineering, management, and vendors. On-site 2nd shift with competitive benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years related experience and/or training.
• Must be a US citizen for North Mankato facility.
• Proficient in CAD/CAM machine programming, machining tooling and design, Mastercam experience a plus.
• Computers i.e. Microsoft Office.
• Problem analysis and resolution, have knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics and machining practices.
• Ability to work well with vendors, customers, and employees.

Responsibilities

• Provide programs to the shop floor in support of CNC Programmer to be on time.
• Prepare and maintain detailed layouts of processes and related equipment.
• Interface with management, design engineering and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes and tooling to ensure efficient production methods and quality results.
