Job Summary

Shift: 1st shift. Days of Work: Monday - Thursday. Work Hours: 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Work Location: On‑site (Mankato, MN). Starting Salary: $33.08 to $40.00 hourly, with potential for a $2.00 technical differential after meeting CBA criteria. Pay Frequency: Bi‑Weekly.

Responsibilities

• Carry out machining and fitting of metal parts, tools, and machines with minimal supervision.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, sketches, specifications, and schematics to plan and execute work.
• Set up and operate machining tools and CNC machines, performing progressive machining operations on work requiring tight tolerances.
• Determine operation sequences and select proper tooling based on machinability of metals.
• Apply knowledge of machine shop practice, setup, tooling application, operating methods, and shop mathematics.
• Monitor coolant quality and change coolant as required.
• Perform daily and weekly TPM tasks with accuracy and consistency.
• Carry out other duties as designated by supervisor within the same salary grade or below.

Qualifications

• Two (2) year vocational or accredited school graduate, or equivalent, plus three (3) years of machining experience.
• Knowledge of machining practices and techniques, basic mechanical principles, shop mathematics, setups, tooling applications, operating methods, and machinability of materials.
• Experience with CNC machines and working knowledge of programming fundamentals.
• Must be a sole U.S. Citizen.
