Qualifications
- Approximately 5+ years of Manufacturing Engineering experience within a production environment.
- Hands-on CNC machining and CAM programming experience.
- Develop CAM programs from 3D CAD models through setup and production.
- Develop manufacturing processes, work instructions, and production documentation.
- Strong understanding of machining fundamentals, tooling, fixtures, and setups.
- Working knowledge of GD&T and engineering drawings.
- Proficient CAD/CAM software.
- Root cause analysis and continuous improvement skills.
- Able to work directly on the production floor with machinists and technicians.
- Lean/Six Sigma training is a plus.
- Experience with ERP/MRP or manufacturing data-management systems.
Responsibilities
- Develop, improve, and standardize manufacturing processes across CNC machining and production operations.
- Create, verify, revise, and maintain CAM programs for CNC equipment.
- Develop CAM programs from 3D models and support program upload, setup, prove-out, validation, and production.
- Support the implementation of a new horizontal CNC machining center, including CAM and processes.
- Troubleshoot machining, tooling, fixturing, and process issues with CNC machinists.
- Create and maintain work instructions, process sheets, SOPs, visual standards, and process maps.
- Capture manufacturing knowledge and formalize it into documentation.
- Lead root cause analysis and continuous improvement activities.
- Support tooling, fixtures, and equipment installations, NPI, and production readiness.
- Assist with corrective and preventive actions related to manufacturing and quality.
- Support fiberglass-reinforced and molded components manufacturing.
