Delta Steel is seeking an experienced CNC Burning Machine Operator for 2nd shift to support our metals processing operations. The role involves setting up and running plate burning equipment (Plasma or Oxy-Fuel), reading blueprints, and handling conveyors and transfer tables in a steel service/fabrication environment.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong measuring skills, the ability to read instructions, and physical stamina to stand, lift, and operate various tools.

Formación

• Experience operating Plate Burning Machines (Plasma or Oxy-Fuel) in a steel service center or fabrication setting.
• Able to read, understand and follow written work instructions and blueprints.
• Proficiency with basic measuring devices (tape measure, micrometers).
• Ability to use manual hand tools and physical fitness for standing, lifting, climbing, and shifting tasks.

Responsabilidades

• Set up and operate CNC burning machine, conveyors, transfer tables and related equipment.
• Ensure plates are cut to size and tolerance per processing work orders.
• Read work orders and blueprints, and verify measurements with basic tools.
• Maintain safety, quality, and housekeeping on the shop floor.

Job Summary

Delta Steel is currently looking for an experienced CNC Burning Machine Operator. We provide metals processing services and distribute a full line of metal products to a broad range of industries.

We are looking for candidates with previous experience operating Plate Burning Machines (Plasma or Oxy-Fuel) in a steel service center or fabrication environment with experience operating an overhead crane a plus. Experienced candidates should have the technical knowledge and ability to properly set up and operate the machine, conveyors, transfer tables and machine for a variety of plate steel products.

The plate burning must be to the size and tolerance requirements as stated on the processing work orders. Individuals must also be able to:

• Read, write and understand the English language
• Read, understand and comprehend written work instructions
• Read, understand and comprehend basic blueprints and drawings
• Display the ability to accurately use basic measuring devices, including tape measure and micrometers
• Display the ability to use manual hand tools, including wrenches and clamps
• Ability to stand, lift, climb and perform various other physical functions
• Able to work any shift and hours required
• When the job duties are not required, the individual must be able to perform the duties of another job function as determined by the supervisor.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

• Effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to read and write
• Preferred candidates will have crane operation experience, material handling experience, and experience working with steel.
