Job summary

Infra- Metals Co. DBA Delta Steel is seeking an experienced Overhead Crane Operator for a 2nd shift to operate a remote controlled crane in a steel service center environment. You will lift, move, and position steel and heavy materials following safety procedures.

Responsibilities include logging inventory changes, assembling orders, tagging received materials, and recording information on work orders. You will support other warehouse tasks as needed and must have 2–3 years of industrial

• Minimum 2-3 years industrial materials handling.
• Must have effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to read and write English.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.

• Operate overhead crane to lift, move, and position steel and heavy materials.
• Log and report inventory location changes per procedure.
• Assemble customer orders according to work orders.
• Log and tag inventory received per procedure.
• Record pertinent material information on work orders or forms as specified by management.
• Complete special projects as specified by management.
• Perform other warehouse/processing/maintenance tasks as required.

Individuals with previous experience operating a remote controlled Overhead Crane in a steel service center or fabrication environment.

Responsible for operating an overhead crane to lift, move, position, reposition steel and heavy material to stock areas.

Log and report inventory location changes according to specified procedure

Assemble customer orders according to work orders

Log and tag inventory received according to specified procedure

Record pertinent material information on to work orders or other forms as specified by management

Special projects as specified by management.

Performance of other Warehouse or Processing / Maintenance Department tasks as required by the absence of a department member or due to the existence of a backlog of work.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

Minimum 2-3 years industrial materials handling. Must have effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to read and write English. Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
