Job summary

Davalyn Corporation is seeking an Applications Engineer – CNC Machine Tools to support manufacturers across the region. The role combines CNC programming, machining, and process knowledge to optimize vertical/horizontal machining centers, turning centers, and multi-axis systems.

The ideal candidate will train customers, develop CNC programs, and collaborate with sales and engineering to deliver customized metal-cutting solutions. Occasional travel is expected as part of regional support.

Qualifications

• Hands-on CNC experience with programming, setup, or support.
• Strong understanding of machining processes, tools, and workholding.
• Proven ability to optimize processes and improve performance in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical application support for CNC equipment including VMCs, HMCs, turning centers, and multi-axis systems.
• Assist with machine setup, prove-outs, commissioning, and process optimization to maximize performance.
• Develop, modify, and optimize CNC programs and troubleshoot machining, programming, tooling, and process issues.
• Train customers on machine operation, programming techniques, and preventative maintenance to maximize equipment life.
• Demonstrate equipment capabilities and recommend improvements to boost productivity and quality.
• Collaborate with sales and engineering to develop manufacturing solutions for customer goals.
• Prepare technical documentation, programming notes, and recommendations for successful implementations.
• Stay current with CNC machining advancements, CAD/CAM software, tools, and automation.
