Morris Midwest, a division of Morris Group, Inc., is seeking a motivated Preventative Maintenance Technician to join our Saint Cloud, MN team. You will program and set up CNC lathes, mills, and Swiss style machines, and contribute to turnkey proposals for customers.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of hands-on CNC experience, familiarity with Swiss and Okuma controls, strong CAD/CAM skills, and excellent customer service. Occasional regional travel is required.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on machining background with at least 3 years of experience with CNC machines.
• Experience on Swiss and Okuma controls is a plus.
• Proven solid understanding of CAD/CAM software is vital.
• MasterCam, Esprit and Solidworks experience is a plus.
• Excellent customer service and effective interpersonal skills required.
• Frequent travel throughout our regional territory.

Responsibilities

• Programming and setting up CNC lathes, CNC vertical or horizontal mills, and Swiss style lathes.
• Developing/ implementing custom demonstrations and training customers in the safe set up and operation of CNC machining centers, lathes, grinders, Swiss style lathes and/ or multi-tasking machines.
• Maintaining an in-depth technical knowledge of product lines represented by the company.
• Perform related duties as required.

We need your validated experience to bring innovative ideas to our customers. What You Will Contribute:

• Conducting pre-sale activities and reviews including customer visits, evaluation of opportunities, machine assessment and recommendations, part processing recommendations and development of turnkey proposals
• Making accurate cost estimates, writing engineering reports, and interpreting plans and specifications
• Programming and setting up CNC lathes, CNC vertical or horizontal mills, and Swiss style lathes
• Developing/ implementing custom demonstrations and training customers in the safe set up and operation of CNC machining centers, lathes, grinders, Swiss style lathes and/ or multi-tasking machines
• Maintaining an in-depth technical knowledge of product lines represented by the company
