Maine Veterans Homes is seeking compassionate Certified Nursing Assistants with Medication Certification (CNA-M) to join our care team in Augusta, ME. The CNA-M administers medications under supervision, assists with daily living activities, and supports residents’ dignity and safety.

Positions are full-time with night shifts (11:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.) and every other weekend. We offer comprehensive benefits, training, and opportunities for growth within a mission-driven team.

Qualifikationen

• Active Maine CNA Registry certification is required.

We are seeking compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistants w/Medication Certification (CNA-Ms) to join our team. CNA-Ms are assigned to a specific care area, which may include memory care, long-term care, or skilled nursing, depending on the position.

Position Summary for Certified Nursing Assistant w/Medication Certification (CNA-M)

The CNA-M is a valued member of the nursing team responsible for assisting residents with daily living activities and providing routine nursing care in accordance with each resident’s individualized care plan. In addition to performing traditional CNA duties, the CNA-M is responsible for the safe administration of medications in accordance with state regulations and facility policies. This role supports residents in a designated care setting while promoting dignity, comfort, and safety.

Key Responsibilities for Certified Nursing Assistant w/Medication Certification (CNA-M)

• Administer medications accurately and safely under the direction of a licensed nurse, following all applicable policies and regulations
• Provide assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility
• Deliver care in accordance with individualized care plans and established nursing standards
• Observe and report changes in residents’ physical, emotional, or cognitive condition to the nursing team
• Support residents’ independence, preferences, and dignity while maintaining safety
• Assist with positioning, transfers, and ambulation using proper techniques
• Communicate effectively with nurses, team members, residents, and families
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment
• Document care provided according to facility policies
• Follow infection control, safety, and confidentiality protocols

Requirements for Certified Nursing Assistant w/Medication Certification (CNA-M)

• Active and in-good-standing certification on the Maine CNA Registry
• Proof of Medication Certification
• Ability to work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers, residents, families, and supervisors
• Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in spoken and written English
• Basic computer skills

Positions Available:

• Full-time
• Nights, 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
• Every other weekend required
