Job summary

Atrium Centers is seeking a Transportation CNA to safely transport residents to medical appointments, hospital visits, and other destinations. You will assist with transfers, mobility, and safety, while performing pre-trip inspections and maintaining records.

You will communicate with dispatch and supervisors, respond to emergencies, and uphold HIPAA and confidentiality standards. A caring, professional demeanor and reliable attendance are essential.

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification in the state where you work.
• Current CPR and First Aid Certification.
• Valid driver’s license in the state where you work.
• Current 10-year DMV driving record.
• Ability to safely operate center vehicles and navigate transportation routes.
• Ability to assist residents with mobility and transfers, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions during emergencies.
• Ability to follow oral and written directions.
• Sincere and caring interest in serving older adults.
• Ability to work cooperatively with residents, families, and team members.
• Excellent attendance and reliability.
• Must meet all health, background, drug screening, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport residents to hospitals, medical appointments, dialysis, rehabilitation centers, and other destinations.
• Assist residents with transfers, mobility, positioning, and safety during transportation.
• Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections to ensure vehicles are safe, clean, and properly equipped.
• Communicate with dispatch, supervisors, and team members regarding transportation schedules and resident needs.
• Respond promptly and appropriately to resident needs, emergencies, and unsafe conditions.
• Maintain accurate transportation records and shift documentation.
• Follow all safety, sanitation, HIPAA, and confidentiality requirements.
• Maintain a professional and caring demeanor when interacting with residents, families, visitors, and team members.
• Report any changes in transportation schedules, resident needs, or vehicle concerns.
• Perform other duties related to transportation and resident care as assigned.
