Job summary

PruittHealth Coastal Central is seeking a Transportation Aide / Certified Nursing Assistant to ensure patients receive safe, timely transportation to appointments, therapies, and activities. You will work closely with nursing staff to coordinate smooth transport operations and maintain a clean, caring environment during trips.

Minimum education includes a high school diploma or GED and CPR certification; preferred qualifications include a valid driver's license, one year of relevant healthcare

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• CPR certification required or ability to obtain upon hire.
• Preferred: valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
• 1 year of experience in skilled nursing, senior living, home health, or patient transportation.
• Familiarity with wheelchair lifts, securements, and mobility devices.
• Ability to lift, transfer, and assist patients safely.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport patients and residents to medical appointments, treatments, and approved outings.
• Assist individuals entering and exiting vehicles using proper lifting, transfer, and mobility techniques.
• Deliver hands-on CNA support including ADLs, personal care, and ambulation as needed.
• Maintain a positive, welcoming, and caring environment during all transport interactions.
• Complete transportation logs, mileage documentation, and schedules accurately and on time.
• Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and safety for all transport vehicles.
• Demonstrate adherence to infection control, safety regulations, and PruittHealth policies.
• Partner closely with nursing and administrative teams to coordinate smooth transport operations.
