Job summary

PruittHealth Coastal Central is seeking a Transportation Aide / Certified Nursing Assistant to safely transport patients and residents to appointments and activities, while providing ADL support as needed.

You will collaborate with nursing and administrative teams to coordinate smooth transport, uphold infection control, safety policies, and deliver compassionate, high-quality service in a busy facility environment.

Qualifications

• CNA certification required.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• CPR certification required or ability to obtain.
• 1 year of experience in skilled nursing, senior living, home health, or patient transportation preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with safe driving record preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport patients and residents to medical appointments, treatments, and approved outings.
• Assist individuals entering and exiting vehicles using proper lifting, transfer, and mobility techniques.
• Deliver hands-on CNA support including ADLs, personal care, and ambulation as needed.
• Maintain a positive, welcoming, and caring environment during all transport interactions.
• Complete transportation logs, mileage documentation, and schedules accurately and on time.
• Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and safety for all transport vehicles.
• Demonstrate adherence to infection control, safety regulations, and PruittHealth policies.
• Partner closely with nursing and administrative teams to coordinate smooth transport operations.
