Job summary

Olympic-View-Post-Acute in Port Angeles, WA seeks a CNA Course Instructor to educate, train, and grow enrolled students. You will validate competencies and support residents’ care while guiding students toward successful course completion.

The role requires WARN licensure, experience giving medications to a group of residents, and the ability to work with a team, adhere to regulations, and manage training records.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current RN license to practice in the state of WA.
• Experience in giving medications to a large group of residents.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Able to calculate drug dosages.
• Ability to use necessary supplies and equipment (feeding pumps, oxygen, treatment trays, medication cart, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Assesses learning needs of students through observation and assessments.
• Plans, conducts, monitors and tracks training to meet state requirements.
• Coordinates orientations and multi-center trainings for students who pass class.
• Maintains student records and files for each class.
• Attends state mandatory meetings and safety trainings.
• Maintains credentials per state and federal regulations.
• Evaluates impact of training programs and learning activities.
• Treats residents, visitors and staff with courtesy.
• Participates in QPI committees and other meetings.
• Maintains communication with EDCS and DON.
• Performs duties including possible resident transportation as per Disaster Plan.
