Job summary

Generations Healthcare offers a Nurse Assistant Training Program that combines online theory and clinical training at Lakeside Special Care Center. The program covers basic nursing skills, medical terminology, and anatomy and physiology to prepare you for the State Competency Exam for Certification.

There is no cost for the training, and you will be hired as an employee in the Nurse Assistant Trainee position. Classes run Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m.

Qualifications

• Access to a home computer with internet, video, audio, and webcam capabilities
• Completion of history and physical, TB screening, and drug screening (to be done one week before the session starts)
• Completion of LiveScan fingerprinting for criminal background clearance
• Possession of an email account (preferably Gmail)
• Proof of COVID vaccination (or approval for accommodations or waiver)

Responsibilities

• Attend theory training via Canvas Instructure and Zoom
• Complete 25-day hybrid program including clinical training at Lakeside Special Care Center
• Maintain at least 75% on tests and final exam and perform all learned skills satisfactorily
• Prepare to take the state exam to become certified
