Job summary

Seneca Health Care Center is seeking CNA Trainees to join our team while participating in a Certified Nursing Assistant training program. Trainees gain hands-on experience under licensed supervision in a skilled nursing environment, with the opportunity to qualify for CNA certification upon program completion.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or currently enrolled in a high school equivalency program preferred.
• Interest in pursuing a career as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team.

• Ability to follow directions and maintain professional conduct.

Responsibilities

• Participate in CNA training program under supervision.
• Observe and learn resident care techniques, safety procedures, and infection control practices.
• Assist with resident care activities as permitted under training program guidelines and supervision.
• Practice CNA skills through demonstrations, return demonstrations, and supervised clinical experiences.
• Communicate resident observations and concerns to nursing staff and instructors.
• Maintain resident dignity, privacy, confidentiality, and rights at all times.
• Follow facility policies, safety procedures, and infection prevention protocols.
• Attend all required classes, clinical training sessions, and educational activities.
• Complete training assignments, skills evaluations, and competency requirements.
