Job summary

Companion Healthcare in Guthrie, OK, seeks compassionate CNAs to join our team. You will assist residents with daily living, meals, mobility, and vital signs under supervision of licensed nurses. A NA Trainee program offers 2 weeks of company-paid CNA certification with a pathway to full CNA status.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a long-term care or healthcare setting preferred but not required.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions from licensed nurses.

Responsibilities

• Assisting residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Providing mobility assistance, such as transferring and positioning residents safely.
• Monitoring and recording vital signs and reporting any changes or concerns to the nursing staff.
• Assisting with meal times, including feeding residents who require assistance.
• Supporting residents' social and emotional well-being by engaging in meaningful interactions and activities.
• Maintaining a clean and organized environment for residents, including making beds and tidying living spaces.
• Adhering to all safety protocols and infection control measures to ensure the well-being of residents and staff.

Throughout the training program, you will receive comprehensive instruction and hands-on experience to prepare you for a rewarding career in healthcare.Upon successful completion of the program, you will transition into a new career as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
