Job summary

NMC Health is seeking a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) or Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support the RN/LPN in delivering quality patient care at the Newton, KS location. This is a full-time role with a 36-hour work week and a night shift from 11:00pm to 7:00am, offering a 20% differential for night hours.

Education required includes a high school diploma or equivalent, and completion of the PCT certification course. Active CNA or PCT certification is preferred.

NMC Health is looking for a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) or Patient Care Technician (PCT) who will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN)/Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide quality care that is focused on the comfort and well-being of the patient and family. The Assistive Personnel (CNA or PCT) provides basic healthcare and support to patients in a manner that would lead to high levels of patient satisfaction. Other functions of the position may include monitor technician, activities of daily living and basic nursing procedures. The PCT functions as a member of the patient's interdisciplinary team.

Location: 600 Medical Center Dr, Newton KS 67114

Full Time: 36 hours per week

Shift: Night 11:00pm - 7:00am

Pay: Based on experience; with a 20% shift differential for Night Shift

Education:

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required to be
• completed or actively in progress. (PCT ONLY) Successful completion of the PCT certification course.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Participates in routine activities of patient care for the specific unit/department population.
• Performs delegated care tasks in a timely, efficient manner and under the guidance of the RN/LPN.
• Contributes to continuity of care and effective communication by reporting care provided and changes in the patient's condition to the primary nurse or designee in a timely fashion.
