Job summary

Providence St Elias Specialty Hospital in Anchorage is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide direct patient care under the supervision of an RN/LPN, applying knowledge of anatomy, biology, psychology, and social sciences.

Full-time 36-hour weekly schedule with three 12-hour day shifts; Alaska Nursing Assistant Certification is required at hire, with BLS within 30 days. Eligible external hires may receive a $2,500 signing bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an Alaska state-approved Nursing Assistant Certification course or other education which meets state certification requirements.
• Upon hire: Alaska Nursing Assistant Certification License.

Required Qualifications

• Coursework/Training: Successful completion of an Alaska state-approved Nursing Assistant Certification course or other education which meets state certification requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Coursework/Training: Some college courses in nursing or therapy field.
• 3 months Nursing assistant experience in acute or extended care.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors.
