Job summary

Plumas District Hospital is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant for Skilled Nursing Facility duties on a per diem basis. The CNA will assist residents with daily activities, monitor vitals, and help maintain clean, well-stocked care areas.

Per Diem shifts offer flexible scheduling and eligibility for shift pay differentials. Qualified candidates hold a California CNA license and CPR certification, with strong communication skills in English and the ability to work under pressure with residents

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily activities (bathing, dressing, ADLs).
• Take vital signs and observe skin integrity; report changes.

Nature and Scope

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for assisting residents with their daily activities. This may include bathing and dressing, taking vital signs, collecting information about conditions and treatment plans from caregivers, nurses and providers. The CNA answers resident calls. They observe the resident for skin integrity changes, turn and reposition, and transfer residents to bed, chair or wheelchair. The CNA maintain cleanliness in the resident care area changing sheets and restocking supplies as needed.

Compensation

Compensation for Non-Benefited, Per Diem Pay Scale

• Base Rate: $28.26–$40.29 per hour
• Starting pay is determined using our clinical pay scales, which feature 13 steps recognizing up to 30 years of relevant experience.
• Eligible employees may also receive shift differential and holiday pay.

Qualifications

Education:
