Job summary

Thornapple Manor is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to transport residents to appointments and provide care during visits. The role also supports routine nursing tasks under supervision, ensuring resident comfort and safety throughout transport and care activities.

The position requires a valid Michigan Chauffeur’s License, CPR/First Aid certification, and a compassionate, team-oriented approach to resident care, with shift options including 8:00 AM–4:30 PM and potential 4x10 hour weeks.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent desired.
• Must be a competency evaluated nursing assistant per state law.
• Must possess a valid Michigan Chauffeur’s License and a clean driving record.
• Must be CPR and First Aid Certified.

Responsibilities

• Transport residents to and from appointments.
• Assist residents with daily nursing care and personal needs.
• Assist with lifting, turning, positioning, and transporting residents.
• Support activity participation and social programs.
• Maintain intake/output records and monitor vital signs as instructed.
