Assist residents with daily activities, ensuring their comfort and safety. Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Monitor patient conditions and communicate with the care team to ensure quality care.
Provide scheduled showers, baths, and personal hygiene care to residents in accordance with individual care plans and facility schedules. Assist residents with dressing, grooming, oral care, skin care, and other activities of daily living associated with bathing. Observe residents’ skin condition during care and promptly report any redness, bruising, wounds, skin breakdown, or other concerns to the licensed nurse. Ensure showers and bathing areas are clean, safe, stocked, and properly sanitized between residents. Maintain resident dignity, privacy, comfort, and safety throughout all personal care. Accurately document completed showers and care provided according to facility procedures. Communicate missed or refused showers to the appropriate nurse/supervisor and follow facility procedures for rescheduling. Assist with other CNA duties and resident care needs as assigned.
