Job summary

Good Samaritan is seeking a dedicated Nursing Assistant (CNA) for the GSS SD Desmet Ctr in a not-for-profit, Christian environment. Full-time day shifts with an 8-hour schedule, and a $10,000 sign-on bonus are offered.

The NA will provide resident-centered nursing care under the supervision of an RN, assist with daily living activities, and help maintain a safe, clean, and supportive living environment for residents in long-term care.

Qualifications

• CNA certification required by State Board or in process of obtaining certification through Endorsement.
• Facility provides training and certification.
• Satisfactorily completes yearly department specific competency testing and maintains continuing education credits.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN).
• Assist with bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing and other activities of daily living.
• Record vital signs and document resident care outcomes and concerns.
• Assist with transfers, repositioning, and range of motion exercises.
• Support meals, dining and resident nutrition; maintain cleanliness of living areas and participate in wellness activities.
