Job summary

Good Samaritan is hiring at GSS SD Desmet Ctr for a Full Time Certified Nursing Assistant to provide resident-centered care on day shifts under RN supervision. Responsibilities include basic nursing tasks, daily living assistance, transfers, documentation, and supportive care to promote comfort and safety.

Requirements include a CNA certification (or in progress within four months), and previous long-term care exposure is preferred.

Qualifications

• CNA certification required or in process within four months of start date.
• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• Ability to follow infection prevention and PPE protocols.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision.
• Assist with bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, mobility, and routine vital signs.
• Support transfers and range of motion exercises.
• Assist with meals, hydration, and dining experiences.
• Document resident interactions and communicate changes to charge nurse.
• Assist with housekeeping, laundry, and wellness/recreational activities.
• Participate in care plan adherence and maintain safety protocols.
