Job summary

Norfolk Health and Rehab in Norfolk, VA is seeking qualified individuals to join our growing team as Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs). As a CNA, you are at the forefront of our ability to provide Care Beyond Compare with compassionate hands-on care and teamwork with the nursing staff to deliver high-quality resident care.

What you will do includes assisting residents with activities of daily living, bathing, grooming, dressing, feeding, mobility, and vital signs monitoring.

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organized with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized care to residents according to each resident’s plan of care.
• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, dressing).
• Assist with mealtime activities, including feeding when needed.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning.
• Monitor residents’ health status and vital signs; report changes to the nurse.
• Engage residents in social and recreational activities to promote well-being.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized living environment.

What you'll do

• Assist residents with mobility, including transferring and positioning them safely.
• Monitor residents’ health status and vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the nurse.
• Engage residents in social and recreational activities to promote overall well-being.
• Maintain safe, clean, and organized living environment for residents.
• Perform other duties as required to provide exceptional care to each resident.

What you need
