Job summary

Aegis Therapies is seeking a Wellness Instructor in Restorative Care to join our Rehab Therapy Team at a Westminster, MD facility. This PRN role includes weekend coverage with a focus on wellness, fitness, and exercise programs for residents in a skilled nursing setting.

The role offers restorative training on site; CNA certification is required. You will work closely with therapy staff to deliver patient-centered care and enhance quality of life for our residents.

Qualifications

• CNA certification is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Specialty fitness certifications are preferred.
• Experience with seniors is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver wellness, fitness, and exercise programs with the rehab therapy team.
• Provide restorative care, ambulation, transfers, ROM, dressing/grooming.
• Receive restorative training onsite; no prior restorative experience required.
• Support patients in activities and collaborate with therapy staff.

Schedule: as needed, weekend coverage

Setting: Rehabilitation Center, Skilled Nursing Facility, Senior Care Wellness

Location: Westminster, MD

Pay: $19-$21 per hour

As a CNA/Wellness Instructor for Restorative Care, you will:

• Report to the Director of Rehabilitation / Therapy and work exclusively with the therapy team to provide knowledge and expertise in delivering appropriate wellness, fitness, and exercise programs.
• Receive full restorative training provided onsite. No restorative experience necessary, (CNA Certification Required)
• Assist in the restorative care of patients as directed.
• Exclusive restorative responsibilities (Ambulation, transfer training, bed mobility, active/passive range of motion, dressing/grooming, splint/prosthesis care) with limited or none of the "less desirable" tasks that often accompany a CNA position.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent, preferred.
• Current certification as Certified Nursing Assistant / CNA in state of practice
• Specialty certification as personal trainer, exercise specialist, fitness instructor, health and fitness specialist or similar area, preferred.
• Background in exercise and activity training with senior populations, preferred.
