Union Plaza Care Center in Queens, NY is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our compassionate team. You will assist residents with daily activities, promote dignity and independence, and document observations for nursing staff.

This role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and resident-centered care in a supportive environment. Active NY CNA certification is required; prior long-term care or rehab experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification in New York state.
• Experience in long-term care or rehabilitation preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs such as bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, mobility, and meal aid.
• Provide compassionate, respectful care while promoting dignity and independence.
• Observe and report changes in residents’ condition to nursing staff.
• Keep environments clean, safe, and supportive for residents.
• Build positive relationships with residents, families, and team members.
• Encourage participation in recreational activities to improve well-being.
• Maintain clean resident rooms, equipment, and common areas.
• Follow infection control procedures, safety guidelines, and policies.
• Document care provided and resident observations accurately.
• Communicate effectively with nurses and the inter-disciplinary team.
• Collaborate to ensure exceptional resident care and satisfaction.
