Job summary

The Phoenix at Opelika in Alabama is hiring a Resident Care Associate (CNA) to join our compassionate care team. You will provide hands-on support to residents in assisted living and memory care, following individualized PSPs and maintaining a safe, home-like environment.

The role requires weekend availability, attention to hydration schedules, activity assistance, daily health checks, and prompt response to call bells. Prior elder care experience and a willingness to work evenings are preferred.

Qualifications

• CNA experience and elder care knowledge required or preferred.
• Ability to ensure patient safety and comfort during shifts.
• Willingness to work weekends, evenings and flexible hours as needed.
• Familiarity with assisted living and memory care settings helpful.

Responsibilities

• Participates in development and updates of Personalized Service Plans; attends care plan reviews.
• Maintains hydration schedules for residents during shift.
• Completes meal attendance and coordinates room service when needed.
• Respects resident rights and dignity in all actions.
• Initiates and assists with activities; monitors daily conditions.
• Daily checks for cleanliness, clothing, and any changes in residents.
• Follows sanitary procedures and universal precautions.
• Monitors rooms for cleanliness and hazardous conditions; coordinates with housekeeping.
• Completes ADLs as per PSP; ensures resident safety and comfort.
• Responds promptly to security systems and call bells with appropriate action.
