Qualifications

• Make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
• Knowledgeable of laws and guidelines governing post-acute care facilities.
• Implement and interpret department policies and procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional conduct.
• Adhere to Life Care’s Code of Conduct and complete mandatory training.

Responsibilities

• Pass ice, water, and distribute snacks to residents.
• Assist with passing and retrieval of meal trays and dining area cleaning.
• Make unoccupied beds and change bed linens.
• Organize residents' drawers and closets and label personal items.
• Organize shower rooms and clean utility rooms and ensure adequate inventory.
• Provide 1:1 attention to cognitively impaired residents.
• Deliver residents' mail.
• Transport wheelchair-bound residents to and from rooms.
• Respond to call lights promptly.
• Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients.
• Assist in the evacuation of patients.
• Demonstrate dependable, regular attendance.
• Communicate and function productively on an interdisciplinary team.
• Lift 35 lbs. floor to waist, 35 lbs. waist to shoulder, 35 lbs. carry, and push/pull 35 lbs.
