Job summary

Valley Health System is seeking a Certified Nurse Aide to perform routine personal care duties under supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse. The role includes maintaining patient safety, reporting issues, and supporting the Winchester Rehabilitation Center and Winchester Medical Center.

After gaining experience, you may precept new CNAs. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, CNA certification, and BLS; annual flu vaccination is required for Long-Term

Qualifications

• Must understand basic principles of human growth and development.
• Able to interact with patients according to age and needs.
• Must have reliable phone communication with hospital.
• Annual flu vaccination required for Long-Term Care areas.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine personal care duties for patients.
• Maintains a safe environment and reports problems.
• Supports the mission of Winchester Rehabilitation Center and Winchester Medical Center.
• May act as a preceptor for new CNAs after experience.
