Job summary

Providence Alaska Medical Center is seeking a part-time Certified Nursing Assistant to support bedside care under supervision. You will assist RNs and staff to keep patient areas safe, clean, and ready for care, while communicating patient needs effectively.

Qualifications

• Must have CNA certification or equivalent experience.
• Completion of Medical Terminology course or hospital terminology test within 90 days of hire.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.

Job description

Under direct supervision this position is accountable to the bedside RN and charge nurse to facilitate a safe and secure environment for the patient, family and providers in the department in completion of the duties delegated to them for the shift and maintaining clear communication between the needs of the patient through the RN and Charge Nurse. These activities focus on maintaining a safe, hazard free, clean environment which facilitates patient focused care.

Required Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training and Completed training program for Certified Nurse Aides (CNA). Or Any equivalent Combination of Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, and Experience.
• Coursework/Training and Completion of Medical Terminology course required or successful completion of hospital Medical terminology test within 90 days of hire.
• Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
