Job summary

Trinity Health is seeking a CNA Coordinator to support the Joyce E. Lillis College of Nursing in coordinating and delivering CNA training, including theory, lab, and clinical components, to help students achieve successful certification.

The role emphasizes program oversight, clinical placement coordination, compliance with regulatory standards, and collaboration with community partners; the ideal candidate has nursing credentials and teaching/coordination experience.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; BSN preferred.
• At least 2 years of clinical nursing experience, including long-term care.
• Current Iowa RN licensure.
• Experience teaching CNA programs or supervising CNAs.
• Ability to employ varied, innovative teaching strategies in classroom/clinical settings.
• Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Teach theory, lab, and clinical CNA courses (0.50–0.75 FTE).
• Provide oversight and coordination of the CNA training program (0.25 FTE).
• Assist with clinical instruction, placements, and regulatory compliance.
• Develop clinical partnerships to expand CNA offerings.
• Coordinate with Training Center to administer CNA programs.
• Collaborate with Data Analyst to collect program data.
• Ensure compliance with Iowa DIAL regulations.
• Provide students with course expectations, objectives, attendance policy, and grading practices.
• Evaluate student progress and report writing as scheduled.
• Participate in curriculum/program development.
• Maintain relationships with community/industry partners.
• Collaborate with Manager of Clinical Coordination to secure placements.
