Job summary

Artesia General Hospital is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support daily patient care in a fast-paced environment. You will assist with activities of daily living, monitor patients, transport specimens, and help maintain a clean, safe unit under the supervision of licensed staff.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent, completed CNA training, and NM CNA certification; BLS within 90 days is required.

Qualifications

• One year in an acute or long-term care setting preferred.
• Completion of CNA training program preferred.
• Current New Mexico Certified Nursing Assistant Certification required
• BLS - required within 90 days of employment

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living and personal care for patients.
• Monitor patients and document information in medical records.
• Perform bedside tests and deliver meals and nourishment.
• Deliver specimens to laboratory and transport equipment as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of unit, equipment and work area; assist with clerical duties.
