Job summary

State of Arizona, Department of Veterans Services, is seeking Certified Nursing Assistants to join the Arizona State Veterans' Home in Phoenix as pool staff. This PRN role offers 12-hour rotating shifts, with a 10% night differential and a DOE salary between $16.50 and $20.02 per hour.

The position supports veterans with daily care, participates in AMS-based continuous improvement, and requires a state CNA license, TB test, fingerprint clearance, CPR, and E-Verify compliance.

Qualifications

• Current or temporary license to practice as a Certified Nursing Assistant in the State of Arizona.
• Current Negative TB skin test within the last twelve months or a physician's statement indicating freedom from Tuberculosis.
• Must obtain and retain a fingerprint clearance card issued by the Arizona DPS.
• Current CPR card that was obtained by physical assessment.
• All newly hired State employees are subject to and must successfully complete E-Verify.

Responsibilities

• Performs or assists residents with ambulation, eating, bathing, dressing and other ADLs.
• Assists in monitoring physical and mental status using medical equipment and vital signs.
• Responds to resident requests and transports to dining room or activities; communicates concerns to staff.
• Participates in multi-disciplinary staffing and trainings for care plans.
