Bay Area Hospital in Oregon seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for the Post Surgical Unit on the Night Shift. The role involves direct patient care, documentation, and collaboration with licensed staff in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current Oregon CNA certification (2025 rules).
• American Heart Association BLS certification required.

Responsabilidades

• Provide direct patient care including bathing, grooming, feeding, ambulating, toileting, and repositioning.
• Assist with safe patient transfers and mobility using assistive devices.
• Monitor and document vital signs, pain levels, height/weight, intake/output, and report abnormalities.
• Document care accurately in the patient’s medical record.
• Obtain patient specimens and perform point-of-care testing within scope.
• Assist with clinical interventions such as spirometry and breathing exercises as directed by RN.
• Apply/remove restraints and sequential compression devices as directed.
• Respond to patient call lights and escalate needs to the RN.
• Observe and communicate changes in patient condition to the RN.
• Provide 1:1 patient observation for safety and fall prevention as needed.
