Job summary

The San Francisco Campus for Jewish Living (SFCJL) in San Francisco, CA is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to deliver direct resident care under a Unit Manager or Charge Nurse. You will help with daily living activities, ensure comfort, dignity, and safety, and support a clean, respectful environment.

You will observe and report changes in residents' conditions, follow care plans, and assist with restorative nursing as directed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CNA program.
• Current, active CNA certification in the State of California.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English clearly.
• Demonstrated ability to support residents' daily care needs while maintaining dignity and resident rights.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care needs, including grooming, hygiene, nutrition, activity, rest, and elimination in a safe and respectful manner.
• Maintain a clean and comfortable environment by supporting proper ventilation, lighting, and furniture arrangements.
• Promote residents' dignity and uphold all resident rights, including freedom from abuse and restraints.
• Report any signs of abuse or rights violations immediately to the Charge Nurse or appropriate personnel.
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with residents, families, visitors, and healthcare team members.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding residents and their care.
• Follow individualized care plans and assist in providing restorative nursing care as directed.
• Monitor residents' conditions and report any changes to the Charge Nurse or Unit Manager.
