Job summary

San Joaquin Nursing and Rehabilitation in Bakersfield, CA is seeking a full-time Certified Nursing Assistant for the PM shift (2:30 PM – 10:30 PM). The CNA provides routine daily nursing care to residents under supervision of licensed staff, including bathing, dressing, mobility, and meal assistance.

Vital signs and intake/output are recorded, and accurate documentation is required. The role emphasizes compassion, teamwork, and adherence to HIPAA and safety protocols in a 99-bed skilled nursing

Qualifications

Minimum 10th grade education required.
CPR certification preferred.
Current, active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the State of California.
Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff.

Responsibilities

Provide direct resident care including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and oral hygiene.
Assist residents with ambulation, transfers, repositioning, and mobility needs.
Measure and record vital signs, weights, and intake/output as directed.
Answer call lights promptly and meet residents' needs.
Assist with meals and document intake.
Observe and report changes in residents’ condition to the Charge Nurse.
Maintain clean, comfortable resident rooms; follow infection control protocols.
